Addus Connect App Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how Addus HealthCare, Inc. (“Addus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with the Addus Connect mobile application (“the App”). The App is an internal workforce tool that can be used by Addus caregivers who choose to download it to manage their schedules, view client information, and engage in work-related communications in a secure and convenient manner.

Information We Collect and Access

Caregiver account information. When you use the App, we collect and process personal information associated with your caregiver account, including your name and phone number. In limited circumstances, such as initial account verification or PIN changes, we may also collect your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number for identity verification purposes.

Health-related data. The App displays client health information — such as care plans, visit schedules, and service authorizations — retrieved from Addus systems. This data may be temporarily cached on your device for the duration of your session but is not permanently stored.

Device and technical data. We collect push notification tokens to deliver work-related notifications to your device. We also collect technical data such as crash reports and app performance information through third-party services to maintain and improve the App.

Camera. The App may request access to your device camera solely for the purpose of scanning and capturing work-related documents. Images captured for this purpose are uploaded to Addus systems and are not permanently stored on your device.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use information collected through the App for advertising purposes.

Data Retention

We retain caregiver account information and associated data for the duration of your employment with Addus and thereafter as required by applicable law, rule, regulatory requirements, and Addus internal retention policies. Healthcare-related records are retained in accordance with federal and state recordkeeping requirements applicable to healthcare providers.

Technical data such as crash reports and performance logs are retained only as long as needed for their operational purpose.

Data Deletion and Consent

When your employment with Addus ends, your App account is deactivated and access is revoked. Data associated with your account is retained or deleted in accordance with the retention policies and practices described above.

Data Security

We transmit all data over encrypted connections and require authenticated login to access the App and client health information.
